At Pleasant Dental®, we understand that it’s both your mouth and your wallet, especially when we’re talking about replacing many teeth with dentures. You may be looking for the “most inexpensive dentures near me in South Holland, Illinois.” Many people visit our Dolton office after being quoted higher fees for dentures and other treatments elsewhere. They can also trust us, because we talk about different ways to make the new teeth that you need more affordable.
We’re happy to talk about three of those ways and considerations below:
We have lots of ways to “save” your natural teeth. While we’d like you to keep all of your teeth, it is especially important to hold on to your lower teeth. Why? We have seen over and over again that patients have a really difficult time wearing traditional lower dentures. These dentures are not easy to wear because there is no solid base for them to anchor to. The upper jaw is attached to the skull, which provides a strong base. The lower jaw doesn’t have this foundation, so the denture tends to shift. Add to that, the tongue is constantly trying to displace the denture. You deserve artificial teeth that feel and function like the real thing. You shouldn’t have to rely on denture adhesive just to get an ounce of function and comfort. By preserving as many teeth as possible, we may be able to recommend denture alternatives such as conventional bridges or bridges supported by implants.
These dentures are more expensive than traditional ones, but they avoid the hassles associated with conventional removable devices when most or all of your lower teeth are gone. This makes snap-on dentures a good value. Plus, they are significantly cheaper than other options that use implants, such as non-removable All-on-4 implants. For these dentures, we place just two or three dental implants. Since implants are the most expensive part of treatment, keeping them to a minimum helps considerably with the total cost. The denture then snaps onto these implants. It creates a very firm hold. Your dentures aren’t going anywhere! They stay put and may fit into your budget better, too.
Non-removable, full-arch dental implants (such as All-on-4) are still the best option. They can be made more affordable with insurance. While insurance rarely pays for the implants themselves, other parts of treatment may be covered. This includes the restoration (bridge), any necessary extractions, and X-rays. For patients who don’t have dental insurance and to help with out-of-pocket costs, CareCredit® and Sunbit can be a big relief. If you qualify, you’ll be able to finance treatment and pay for it over several months or even years, depending on your terms. You don’t have to pay for everything all at once. Remember, implants are also done in stages. Not everything will be billed at one time. Knowing this helps to lift the stress about the dental bill off your shoulders.
Pleasant Dental® understands that the cost of replacing many or all of your teeth can be scary. But we promise to work with you to make treatment more affordable, and so you can get the option that works best for you.
