What is the TRIOS 3 Scanner?
The scanner allows us to digitally create full 3D digital models of your mouth. Thus largely eliminating the need for messy or uncomfortable impressions. With this technology we can cut the time from the start of most lab treatments down substantially. We can also create better fitting, and potentially longer lasting, crowns, bridges, partial and full dentures. The TRIOS scanner can be used for precise impressions and planning for the following services:

How It Works
One of the doctors or a team member will methodically move the small handheld TRIOS wand along all the surfaces of the teeth. The wand captures thousands of images with its sensors. The images are processed by the device’s software. The result is a highly accurate digital map of your mouth. With the TRIOS scanner, there is generally no need for messy molds with bad-tasting goop.
Once the scanning is complete, both the dentist and the patient can see the 3D digital scan of the mouth on the high-definition screen. The entire process takes just minutes.
Higher Quality Impressions and Restorations
When we use the TRIOS scanner to make restorations, they are completed faster, fit better, and require fewer adjustments than restorations made from conventional molds. The scanner provides the dental laboratory with precise measurements of the teeth along with high-definition pictures, which cut down drastically on the need to remake the restorations.

Dr. Dean Dietrich has been practicing dentistry since 1986, when he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University's School of Dental Medicine. He had completed his undergraduate studies in business marketing and management at Michigan State University from 1978 to 1982.He opened Pleasant Dental in 2003 to provide excellent dental care and value for his patients. He is especially skilled and experienced with root canals, implants, and handling dental anxiety.
Dr. Dietrich is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Indian Dental Association. He is licensed in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan and has orthodontic certification from the Academy of GP Orthodontics. Multiple agencies have recognized him annually as one of America’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Winnie Wilson
Dr. Winnie Wilson is a dedicated dentist with a rich background in general dentistry, particularly passionate about treating children. After completing her dentistry education in India, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Gupta is committed to building meaningful relationships with families through exceptional care at Pleasant Dental. Her approach emphasizes trust and quality service.
